Fall Workshop Wrap-up

Sunday Nov. 22nd marked the end of Surface Gallery’s fall workshops. We had an excellent run of Saturday classes and wonderful participation. The gallery would like to thank all of its participants as well as its instructors for their creative optimism. The fall workshops ended with an amazing weekend of bookbinding taught by visiting artist, Michelle Moode. Preceding the construction of bookbinding, the gallery was turned into a ceramic studio for a day, as clay covered hands molded bowls. New to the fall session of workshops was “Improv for the curious” lead by artist Julia Heatherwick. During this class, the gallery was transformed into a team of improv actors who supported each other to step outside their comfort zones and onto a stage of possibilities. We hope everyone enjoyed each class as we look forward to our next session of Saturday workshops starting on January 16th. Please check back with us soon for further class descriptions and schedule.
